Application of Color Doppler Ultrasound of Carotid and Vertebral Arteries in Patients with Cerebral Stroke
Wang Wei
Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between carotid and vertebral atherosclerosis as well as hemodynamic change and cerebral stroke. Methods 50 patients with cerebral stroke were selected as observation group, and 50 healthy people were selected as control group.Ultrasound test for carotid and vertebral arteries were conducted and results were compared. Results Detection rates of soft and mixed plaques in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference on hard plaques between the two groups(P>0.05).PSV and EDV in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference on RI between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Color doppler ultrasound of carotid and vertebral arteries is of high value in the dignosis and prevention of cerebral stroke.
