Dissolution Rate Measurement of Hesperidin - PEG4000 Solid Dispersion
Abstract：Objective To improve water solubility and bioavailability of hesperidin by maKing it into solid dis-persion. Methods PEG4000 was a carrier for maKing solid dispersion of hesperidin for its good water solubility and nontoxicity. HLPC method was used to analyze water solubility. UV spectrophotometry and IR spectroscopy were used to detect its chemical structure. Results Water solubility of the solid dispersion which was made of hesperidin and PEG4000 increased obviously(While n(PEG4000): n(hesperidin)was 6: 1,the result was best). UV spectropho-tometry and IR spectroscopy results indicated that hesperidin was amorphous in solid dispersion. Conclusion Solid dispersion of hesperidin - PEG4000 can improve solubility and dissolution rate of hesperidin in water.
