Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effects of immediate implantation and delayed implantation on re-pairing tooth loss. Methods 90 patients with tooth loss from Dec. 2011 to Jun. 2012 in our hospital were assigned to immediate implantation group and delayed implantation group with 45 patients in each group. The short - term and long - term clinical effects were compared. Results There was no significant difference in implant stability quotient (ISQ)after 1,3,6 month between the two groups(P > 0. 05). There was no significant difference in gomphiasis,perio-dontal tissue inflammation and pyorrhea after two years between the two groups(P > 0. 05). Conclusion Immediate implantation has the similar clinical effects as delayed implantation. It can largely reduce the curative time and incon-venience as well as psychological stress brought to patients.
