Therapeutic Effects of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine on Cough Caused by Mycoplas,a Pneu,oniae Infection in Children

Abstract：Objective To observe therapeutic effects of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine on cough caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae infection in children. Methods 80 children with cough caused by myco-plasma pneumoniae infection were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 40 children in each group. Azithromycin was used in control group. Additional herbal decoction was used in observation group. Therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results Effective rate and satisfaction degree were higher in observa-tion group than those in the control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion Integrated traditional Chinese and western medi-cine can improve therapeutic effects,satisfaction degree and safety on cough caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae infec-tion in children.
