Inhaled Antibiotics for Stable Bronchiectasis:a Meta - analysis

Abstract:Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of inhaled antibiotics for stable bronchiectasis. Methods A systematic search of PubMed,Embase,Science Online and Wanfang Data was performed. 6 papers which were accordance with the inclusive criteria were analyzed by RevMan4. 3 software. Results There was a significant difference in effective rate of reducing sputum colony number between the two groups(P < 0. 001). There were no significant difference in microbial clearance rate,acute attack times of respiratory symptoms and effec-tiveness of improve lung function between the two groups. No patient had adverse events after the drug treatment. Con-clusion The effectiveness of inhaled antibiotics treatment is confirmed at a certain extent.
