The Effect of Continuing Nursing on Psychological Status and Quality of Life in Postoperative Patients with Breast Cancer
Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of continuing nursing on psychological status and quality of life in postoperative patients with breast cancer. Methods 76 patients with breast cancer after modified radical mastectomy were randomly assigned into control group(n = 38)and intervention group(n = 38). Patients in control group received routine nursing,and patients in intervention group received continuing nursing on the basis of routine nursing. Meas-urement of SAS and FACT - B were taken 1 month,3 months,6 months after operation in two groups. Results The score of SAS in intervention group was significantly lower than that in control group,and the score of FACT - B was higher than that in control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion Continuing nursing is an effective approach to improve anxiety status and promote the quality of life.
