Abstract:In order to observe the therapeutic effect of Smecta in infantile diarrhea and evaluate the affection on it caused by giving Smecta in different ways,135 patients with infantile diarrhea were separate into 3 groups.45 patients accpted routine treatment merely (group A),45 patients took Smecta orally in addition (group B),others accepted Smecta retentive enema in addition (group C).The effective rates of the 3 groups were 71.11%,88.98%,95.56%,respectively.The effective rates of group B,group C were higher than group A significantly(P<0.01),group B,group C had no significant difference between their effective rates (P>0.05),but their proportions were different(P<0.05).The results suggest that Smecta has definite effect in treating infantile diarrhea, and retentive enema with Smecta could improve the therapeutic effect.
