Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of PDCA cycle combined with Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise(Mini-CEX)in the standardised residency training of endodontics.Methods A total of twenty residents in standardized residency training of endodontics were selected.The Mini-CEX scale was used to assess the residents'comprehensive clinical competence,the PDCA cycle was used to analysis the causes affecting clinical competence and to make persistent improvement.Results Following application of the PDCA cycle,the residents showed significant improvement in their performance in oral examination,communication skills,humanistic qualities,clinical judgment,and operative skills.Conclusion Applying PDCA management combined with the Mini-CEX sale effectively assesses and optimizes endodontic residency training.
