Abstract:With the continuous evolution of undergraduate education concepts, the integration of ideological and political education into application-oriented undergraduate teaching has become increasingly significant. The"Periodontology"teaching team at Jining Medical University,Department of Stomatology has explored pathways and practices for curriculum-based ideological and political development, constructing a"Four Dimensions,Five Elements,One Core"educational system.By deeply excavating the ideological and political connotations within"Periodontology",we designed strategies to integrate teaching objectives with ideological-political elements and adopted innovative pedagogical models to stimulate students'interest in the subject. The study incorporated ideological-political assessments into the evaluation system and analyzed outcomes through scale-based metrics. Results revealed significant differences in students'professional values and satisfaction with ideological-political integration across cohorts.Teaching reforms effectively enhanced students'professional identity, critical thinking and teamwork skills. The research demonstrates that the collaborative design of"implicit ideological education"and discipline-specific teaching can advance the comprehensive competency development of application-oriented professionals, providing practical insights for similar curriculum development.
