Abstract:This study examines the theoretical foundations, instructional design models, and implementation strategies of the flipped classroom approach. In response to the unique demands and inherent challenges in dental education,a tailored flipped classroom framework is proposed, with the aim of enhancing students'clinical reasoning and practical skills.Flipped classroom,as a new teaching model, brings significant changes to both lectures and homework compared to traditional teaching. It offers many notable advantages, enhancing interaction and communication between educators and students while promoting students'enthusiasm and initiative in learning. The flipped classroom utilizes class time for applying knowledge and developing critical thinking, rather than passive lecturing.Gradually,it has evolved into a favored educational method among learners and educators alike, particularly advantageous in medical education.Increasing educational research indicates that this approach enhances teaching effectiveness and knowledge retention.
