Survey of Clinical Visit Conditions of Patients with Maxillofacial Pain and Nursing Interventions
Abstract:Objective: To understand the clinical visit conditions of patients with maxillofacial pain in dental clinics, and to provide references for formulating and implementing targeted nursing interventions. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the medical records of 2,847 patients with maxillofacial pain, summarizing the characteristics of the occurrence of maxillofacial pain. Results: The incidence rate was higher in females, unilateral cases were more common than bilateral ones, middle-aged and elderly patients were predominant, and the incidence rate was higher in winter. The pain was mainly paroxysmal, with chronic pain being more common. A large number of patients had habits of smoking and drinking, while a small proportion had good dietary habits and sleep quality. A high proportion of patients with maxillofacial pain had systemic diseases, and the proportion of adverse drug reactions after treatment was also high. Conclusion: The condition of maxillofacial pain is complex, diagnosis is difficult, and it is necessary to strengthen comprehensive nursing care, lifestyle guidance, self-health care, and regular follow-up for patients with maxillofacial pain, as well as to enhance nurses' learning and exchange.
