Preliminary Construction of a Grading Management System for Nurses in the Department of Endodontics Based on the Assessment Criteria for the Difficulty of Oral Disease Diagnosis and Treatment
Abstract:Objective: This study aims to preliminarily construct a grading management system for nurses in the department of endodontics at a dental hospital, guided by the assessment criteria for the difficulty of oral disease diagnosis and treatment. Methods: Based on the assessment criteria for the difficulty of endodontic diagnosis and treatment, combined with the results of literature review and clinical management practices, an initial set of indicators was formed. The Delphi method was used for expert consultation to build the grading management system for nurses in the department of endodontics. Results: A total of 15 experts from tertiary A-level dental hospitals were selected in this study. In two rounds of consultation, the effective recovery rate of the questionnaires was 100% each time. The expert authority coefficient was 0.83, and the Kendall's W coefficients for expert opinions were 0.247 and 0.238, respectively, both of which were statistically significant (P < 0.001). The final grading management system for nurses in the department of endodontics includes three parts: entry criteria, training system, and assessment system. Among them, the entry criteria include 3 first-level indicators and 33 second-level indicators; the training system includes 2 first-level indicators, 9 second-level indicators, and 39 third-level indicators; the assessment system includes 2 first-level indicators and 2 second-level indicators. Conclusion: The experts selected in this study have a high level of authority, and the consultation results are reliable. The grading management system for nurses in the department of endodontics constructed under the guidance of the assessment criteria for the difficulty of endodontic diagnosis and treatment has the characteristics of specialized dental nursing, is closely related to clinical practice, and has strong operability. It can provide references for the grading management of outpatient dental nurses and offer guidance for the training and management of dental nursing talents.
