An empirical study on the impact of oral health knowledge dissemination of Chinese and Western medicine on public oral health behavior

Abstract：AIM:The study aims to understand the current status of the influence of oral health knowledge dissemination on public oral health behaviors under different medical systems by means of questionnaire surveys,and to explore the public's knowledge and acceptance of oral health-related contents of traditional Chinese medicine,so as to provide a scientific basis for the subsequent study of the significance of the dissemination of oral health in modern Chinese medicine and the combination of Chinese medicine and Western medicine and the optimization of the promotion methods.METHODS:347 respondents were selected from online social media platforms and a questionnaire survey was conducted;the respondents'age,occupation,knowledge of oral health and needs were counted and the data were analyzed.RESULTS:The general public's knowledge and recognition of oral health knowledge in Chinese medicine and Western medicine differed,and there were differences in the perception of Chinese medicine and Western medicine oral health knowledge among respondents of all ages,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).CONCLUSION:There is a difference in the influence of oral health knowledge dissemination under different medical systems on the public's oral health behaviors,most of the population has a shallow knowledge of oral health knowledge in Chinese medicine,but a higher acceptance of oral health knowledge disseminated by the combination of Chinese medicine and Western medicine,the dissemination of oral health-related content in Chinese medicine should be increased to promote the integration of traditional Chinese medicine into modern dentistry and daily oral health science and promote the development of oral health content of combined Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
