The current situation and development of Artificial Intelligence(AI)in dental education

Abstract：In the field of medical education in the 21st century,Artificial Intelligence(AI)is leading a wave of educational innovation with its unique technical advantages.In education,AI not only changes traditional teaching methods,but also provides students with a more personalized and flexible learning experience.AI also challenges academic writing and research methods.Applications of AI in clinical teaching include improving diagnostic accuracy,optimizing surgical procedures,and predicting treatment outcomes.However,with the rapid development of AI technology,educators need to update their knowledge and skills,taking into account the ethical and legal issues of technological integration.In the future,AI is expected to continue to drive innovation in dental education,improve the quality and efficiency of education,promote personalized learning,and enhance clinical skills training.Colleges and universities are actively exploring the combination of AI and teaching,through seminars and other forms,to promote the application of AI technology in higher education and innovation in teaching methods.Especially in the field of stomatology education,the application of AI has been extended from theory teaching to clinical skill training,case analysis,diagnosis assistance and so on.Through deep learning,pattern recognition and other technologies,AI can not only provide rich teaching resources and personalized learning experience,but also simulate complex clinical situations,to help students practice and improve their clinical decision-making ability in a safe virtual environment.At the same time,the application of AI in stomatology education is also faced with challenges such as data privacy,ethical issues,technology acceptance and so on.However,with the development of technology and the update of educational concept,it is expected that AI will play a more important role in the future stomatology education,and will promote the development of educational models that are more intelligent,accurate and efficient.This article will discuss the present situation,challenges and possibility of future development of AI in Stomatology Education,and provide reference for stomatology educators and point out the direction for future education practice.
