Abstract：The total failure rate of root canal therapy is about 18%due to the sealing,antibacterial and biocompatibility of root canal fillers.In recent years,researchers have been improving root canal fillers in an attempt to improve the efficacy of root canal therapy for periapical inflammation.The purpose of this review is to summarize and establish the curative effect of the modified zinc oxide eugenol,calcium hydroxide,glass ion,resin and bioceramics in the root canal therapy of periapical inflammation from three aspects:sealing,antibacterial and promoting periapical tissue repair.In order to provide a better improvement plan for the clinical treatment of periapical inflammation and increase the cure rate.
