Application of Enhanced Health Education Combined with Psychological Nursing in the Care of Patients with Dental Caries and Pulp Diseases
Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effect of enhanced health education combined with psychological nursing in the care of patients with dental caries and pulp diseases. Methods: A total of 74 patients diagnosed with dental caries and pulp diseases were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 37 cases. The control group received traditional health education, while the observation group received enhanced health education combined with psychological nursing. Observation indicators were evaluated at the initial visit and the last follow-up visit, and comparisons were made between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in the scores of self-care ability, comfort, quality of life, anxiety, bleeding index, gingival index, masticatory efficiency, and occlusal force between the two groups at the initial visit (P > 0.05). At the follow-up visit, the scores of self-care ability, comfort, quality of life, masticatory efficiency, and occlusal force in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the scores of bleeding index, gingival index, and anxiety were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Enhanced health education combined with psychological nursing can alleviate the anxiety of patients with dental caries and pulp diseases, improve their self-care ability and quality of life, and promote the prognosis of the disease.
