Clinical research progress of dental stem cells in oral and maxillofacial tissue regeneration

Abstract：Dental stem cells,derived from the teeth and its surrounding tissues,are readily accessible and possess the capacity for multidirectional differentiation.These cells can regenerate pulp,periodontal and maxillofacial tissues,as well as repair tissue defects caused by endodontic diseases,periodontal diseases and maxillofacial trauma.This paper reviews the application of dental stem cells in oral and maxillofacial tissue regeneration,discussing preclinical studies on dental pulp regeneration,periodontal regeneration and jaw-bone regeneration mediated by dental stem cells,and illustrating the latest progress in clinical research.
