Abstract:With the application of instruments such as periodontal microscopes and endoscopes, periodontal treatment has gradually developed towards minimally invasive, visualized, and comfortable approaches.Minimally invasive non-surgical therapy(MINST)has emerged, which primarily utilizes magnification devices like periodontal endoscopes to visualize the subgingival space. It employs finer instruments and more meticulous clinical techniques to minimize tissue damage, thus enabling more efficient periodontal debridement and improving patient comfort and clinical treatment outcomes. This article focuses on the concept of MINST,commonly used instruments, key operational methods, treatment outcomes, and challenges of application, and thus provides reference for the gradual implementation of this approach in periodontal treatment.
