Analysis of prognostic factors influencing pulpotomy in permanent teeth

Abstract：With the widespread application of bioactive pulp-capping materials,deepening understanding of the mechanisms of pulpal injury repair,and increased evidence-based clinical research,the success rate of pulpotomy has improved significantly and the indications have gradually broadened.This review delves into the potential prognostic factors on pulpotomy,focusing on three aspects:preoperative,intraoperative and postoperative.Based on the available evidence-based medical evidence,the prognosis of pulpotomy is closely related to the following factors:preoperative diagnosis of pulpal viability,depth of caries,asepsis,intraoperative bleeding,pulp-capping materials,and quality and timing of coronal sealing.
