Abstract:This study provides a thorough analysis of the application effect and value of objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)in the practice of endodontics from the perspective of students. The questionnaire survey showed that students hold a positive attitude towards OSCE,believing that it can accurately assess clinical competence and improve communication skills and teamwork skills. The analysis of scores reveals the differences in students'performance in various modules, especially in the modules of medical record and prescription writing and clinical thinking. The discussion section proposes reflections and adjustments to teaching strategies, including the introduction of innovative methods such as problem-based learning,team-based learning, and gamified learning methods to enhance teaching effectiveness. At the same time,it emphasizes the important role of OSCE in evaluating students'clinical skills and improving professional qualities,as well as the necessity for educators to integrate theory with practice and focus on professional quality cultivation. This study provides a strong basis and suggestions for further optimizing oral medicine teaching.
