Re-understanding the concept and significance of periodontal health from practice

Abstract：Periodontal tissue is composed of periodontal membrane,alveolar bone and gum,which plays the function of supporting,fixing and nourishing the teeth in the mouth.According to oral epidemiological survey data,peri-odontal disease has been the main cause of tooth loss in adults.Periodontal disease is a disease that occurs in the support-ing tissues of the teeth,which not only damages the local tissues and functions of the mouth,but also affects the system health of the whole body.Based on the author's many years of clinical work experience,this paper attempts to discuss the role and significance of periodontal escort in improving the comprehensive clinical curative effect from the aspects of coop-eration among various disciplines,establishing and strengthening the awareness of disease prevention and control,and regu-lating clinical examination and treatment.
