Application of arginine in the prevention and treatment of oral diseases

Abstract：Arginine is one of the natural ingredients of saliva,and it can promote the deposition of calcium and phosphorus ions into dentin and dentin tubules.Also,it can well isolate the outside stimulation and relieve the sensitive dentin.Meanwhile,more and more attentions from researchers have been paid to arginine for its ability of inhibiting cariogenic bacteria and promoting the remineralization of early enamel caries.This article makes a summary of the current research status and the latest application of arginine.
