Abstract:AIM:To study the effects of inorganic filler content on the double bonds conversion of nano hydrxyapatite (n-HA) composite resin.METHODS:The composite materials were composed of a visible light-curing monomer mixture as a matrix and n-HA as an inorganic filler. The surface of the n-HA particles was modified by a silane coupling agent KH-570.The quality proportion of n-HA in the composite materials was 45 wt% (group A),55 wt% (group B),65 wt% (group C) and 75 wt% (group D) respectively (n =5),CHARISMA was served as the control group (E).The infra-red (IR) spectra of composite resins was determined and the degree of double bonds conversion was calculated.Data were subjected to variance analysis.RESULTS:The double bonds conversion rate of group A,B and D was lower than that of group C and E (P < 0.05).The double bonds conversion rate of group C and E was (48.56 ± 1.54) % and (45.72 ± 0.91) % respectively (P > 0.05).CONCLUSION:The content of inorganic fillers has a certain influence on the double bonds conversion of n-HA composite resin,n-HA at 65 wt% may produce the highest double bonds conversion of n-HA composite resin.
