Practice and exploration of case-based learning in oral biology

Abstract：Oral biology is a bridge subject between basic medicine and clinical oral medicine.Compared with clinical oral medicine,oral biology seems to be sterile.The students showed relatively low learning initiative for oral biology.In order to improve the students' learning initiative and teaching quality,we tried to apply case-based learning in the teaching process of oral biology.Appropriate cases were chosen to stimulate the students' interest in learning and help them to master the basic knowledge.Both the teachers and the students thought that this kind of teaching mode greatly enhanced the students' interest in learning oral biology.At the same time,this mode may combine basic medicine and clinical oral medicine.As a result,the students can master oral disease in deeper and broader level.
