Comparison of reciprocating single-file and full-sequence rotary-file systems

Abstract：As a new conception of root canal preparation,reciprocating single-file systems provide more choices for clinical doctors.The reciprocating single-file systems are characterized with reciprocal motion and designed to accomplish complete preparation with one single file.A lot of original studies have been done to find out how these reciprocating single-file systems perform in the aspects of decrease in dental crack formation,apical extrusion of deb-ris,incidence of instrument separation,change in WL,and straightening of canal curvature when compared with tradi-tional full-sequence rotary-file systems.In this paper,the recent research progresses in comparison of reciprocating single-file and full-sequence rotary-file systems are reviewed.
