The role of SCC/XPC complex in somatic cell reprogramming

Abstract：SCC /XPC complex is a nucleotide excision repair(NER)protein complex mainly responsible for repairing ultraviolet light (UV)induced DNA lesion.Recently it was reported that this complex plays a role in the ma-intenance of pluripotency in embryonic stem cells (ESCs)and somatic cell reprogramming of fibroblasts to induce pluri-potent stem cells (iPSCs).This review emphasizes the composition and structure of the complex and its application in the induction of pluripotent stem cells from human dental pulp cells (hDPC-iPSCs).
