Research progresses in mesenchymal stem cell aging

Abstract：Aging is characterized by a gradual reduction in the ability to cope with physiological challenges to the external environmental stimulation, which ultimately induces disease susceptibility and eventually leads to death. In the aging process, because of pathological or environmental stimulation, the self-regulation mechanism of mesenchy-mal stem cells gradually becomes abnormal, leading to unstable biological characteristics.This paper briefly reviews the research progress of mesenchymal stem cell aging and the reasons of the aging.
