Research progress of the correlation between collagen metabolic imbalance and drug-induced gingival overgrowth

Abstract：Patients who have undergone long-term treatment with certain drugs often suffer from drug-in-duced gingival overgrowth (DIGO).The pathogenesis of DIGO is not well understood.The imbalance of collagen pro-duction and collage degradation is proved to be related to the development of DIGO.The progress on the relationship between DIGO and collagen metabolism is reviewed in this paper.
