Abstract：Reparative dentin formation is a protective defense which is essential for preserving the activity and function of the pulp during disease,trauma,abrasion or severe attrition.The mechanism of dentin regeneration is quite complicated and uncertain due to the involvement of multiple sorts of pulp cells and regulatory factors.The mech-anism of dentin regeneration and promoting factors are reviewed in this article.
