Clinical outcome of single-visit root canal therapy with GuttaFlow in molars

Abstract:AIM:To determine the clinical outcome of single-visit root canal therapy with GuttaFlow in mo-lar root canal therapy .METHODS:102 molars with 325 root canals were treated by single-visit filling with GuttaFlow (163 canals) and deep blue cataplasm(162 canals) respectivey.Quality of filling was assessed using radiograph .The pain intensity within 1 week after treatment and the therapeutic outcome were evaluated by 12-month follow-up. RESUTS:Radiographic scores of root filling quality of Gutteflow group were significantly better than those of control group (P<0.05).No significant difference was observed between the 2 groups at 1 year follow -up (P>0.05). CONCLUSION:Single-visit root canal therapy using GuttaFlow technique result in less postoperative reaction and may produce reliable therapeutic outcome in 1 year.
