Abstract:AP-1isatranscriptionfactor,adimercomplexofc-Junandc-Fosencodedbyproto-onco-gene.As a transcription regulatory factor,it binds to DNA.Through activating or inhibiting target gene transcription,it is involved in many cell activities, such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell survival and tumor development .AP-1 was recently found to be expressed in the process of tooth development, mainly in mature ameloblasts and odontoblasts. This review summarizes the regulatory role of AP-1 in dentine and enamel development.
