Abstract：AIM:To observe and monitor the progress of suspicious caries in orthodontic youth’s perma-nent molars.METHODS:DIAGNOdent was used in 74 orthodontic patients aged 12-16 yeas to monitor 183 perma-nent molars for the diagnosis of early caries for one year.RESULTS:14.8%early caries turned to caries and needed filling treatment within 1 year.CONCLUSION:Application of DIAGNOdent can effectively monitor early caries in or-thodontic youths.
