TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway and dental fluorosis

Abstract：Dental fluorosis is a disease resulting from over-intake of fluoride during the development of tooth germ. The pathogenesis of dental fluorosis has not been fully elucidated at present. TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway plays important roles in the regulatory mechanism of tooth germ development. TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway and its changes during development of dental fluorosis were reviewed in this article.
