Gene therapy in periodontic treat ment

Abstract：New advancements in gene therapy continue to have significant impact on the management of pe-riodontitis. C, ene therapy builds a more favorable situation for periodontal regeneration in comparison with the traditional treatment. This review provides a brief insight into the ever-expanding field of gene therapy and its possible future im-plication in the field of periodonfics. Most of the modalities described in this article are more theoretical and still in in-fancy stage used for periodontal regenerative purposes.
