Effectiveness of microscopic ultrasonic technique on removal of fractured root canal instruments: a clinical analysis

Abstract：AIM: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of microsonic ultrasonic technique on removal of frac-tured root canal instruments. METHODS: A total of 50 cases with fractured root canal instruments were included in this clinical study. Microsopic ultrasonic technique was used to remove the fractured instruments. RESULTS: Among the 50 cases, 34 fractured instruments were completely removed. While another 16 were not removed. CONCLU-SION: Microscopic ultrasonic technique is an effective method for removal of intra-canal fractured instruments.
