Abstract:AIM: To evaluate the nanoleakage of three kinds of self-etching adhesive, Clearfil~(TM) SE Bond (CB) ,Adper~(TM) Prompt~(TM) (AP) and ONE-UP Bond F (OF), on adhesive-dentin interface. METHODS : Superficial occlusal dentin of 15 freshly extracted molars was finished with 60o-grit SiC paper under running water. CB, AP and OF were applied to dentin surfaces according to the manufacturer instructions. The bonded teeth were sectioned occlnso -gingivally into 4mm ×0.9mm ×4 mm serial slabs. Then which were stored in ammoniacal silver nitrate in the dark for 24 h and prepared for TEM. RESULTS: Obvious nanoleakage was observed on all treated adhesives-dentin interface. The mean dentin nanoleakage of OF (15.36±3.03) and AP (14.93 ±2.67) was no significant difference. They were all higher than C B (12.35±2.60) (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The nanoleakage of self-etching adhesives exists diversely on adhesive-dentin interface and nanoleakage difference might be due to the different composition of self-etching adhesives.
