Effect of actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans surface associated substance on the oriented arrangement of human periodontal ligament fibrobiast on the tooth root slice

Abstract：AIM: To observe the effect of actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (Aa) surface associated sub stance on the oriented arrangement of human periodontal ligament fibrobiast on th e tooth root slice. METHODS: Root slices of 150 μm were prepared. Then PDL cells were seeded on them and incubated with A. a surface associated sub stance. The change of the orientation arrangement of cells was checked. RESULTS; Cells of the control group oriented well, they grew in a radial direction around the center of the root slice in 72 hours. The number of the cells in the ex perimental group was reduced when time went on, and the cells orientated from order to disorder. CONCLUSION: This substance can change the orientation of cultured human periodontal ligament fibrobiast on the root slice.
