Abstract:AIM: Study of the effect of TGF-β1, TGF-β2 and TGF-β3 in the human tooth development.METHODS: SP HC was used to detect the localization of TGF-β1, TGF-β2 and TGF-β3 protein on human tooth germs sections(16th to 28th gwk). RESULTS: TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 mainly expressed in ameloblasts and odontoblasts. TGF-β2mainly expressed in inner enamel cells and ameloblasts. TGF-β1 、TGF-β2 and TGF -β3 demonstrated positive expression in the enamel knot. CONCLUSION: TGF-β1、TGF-β2 and TGF-β3 are important regulators in the human tooth development. They are involved in tooth germ cytodifferention, promote the secretion of the dentin matrixes, and regulate the tooth morphogeny.
