Effect analysis of Tongxinluo capsule on the treatment of the cardiac syndrome X in patients complicating diabetes

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Tongxinluo capsule on the treatment of patients with cardiac X syn-drome complicated with diabetes. Methods Totally 68 diabetic with X syndrome were selected,who were treated in depart-ment of cardiology of Ezhou Central Hospital of Hubei Province from March 2014 to January 2017,and they were randomly di-vided into the control group(n=34) and the treatment group(n=34). The control group were treated with Isosorbide Mono-nitrate Sustained Release Tablets,Aspirin Tablets,Metoprolol Succinate Sustained release Tablets or Diltiazem Hydrochloride Tablets. On the basis of control group, the treatment group was treated with Tongxinluo capsule orally. After three months, the serum endothelin 1 (ET-1), serum NO, ET-1/NO levels, treatment effect and treadmill exercise test results were com-pared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group with Tongxinluo capsule was 82.35%, which was higher than that of the control group of 58.82% (χ2=6.575,P= 0.037),and the difference was statistically sig-nificant. Compared with the control group,the serum NO of the treatment group was significantly increased, and the level of ET-1 and ET-1/NO of the treatment group were significantly decreased (t=3.274, t=2.873, t=4.233, P=0.002, P=0.003,P=0.000).In the treatment group, the total exercise time during the treadmill exercise test, the time when the ST segment was depressed by 1mV,and the ST segment depression was better than the control group(t=3.237,t=2.704,t=2.674,P=0.008,P=0.021,P=0.010),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Tongxin-luo capsule is a reasonable and effective treatment to the patients with cardiac syndrome X and complicating diabetes and the effect is remarkable.
