Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of Nanog and PLK4 protein in ovarian cancer and ovarian benign tumor, explore their role and significance in ovarian cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical staining SP method was used to detect the expression of Nanog and PLK4 in 40 cases of ovarian cancer and ovarian benign tumor, analyze the relationship of two proteins with pathological features of the disease. Results The expressions of Nanog and PLK4 protein in ovarian cancer were significant higher than ovarian benign tumor(χ2=33.885,39.596, P<0.01). Positive expression rate of them was higher in FIGO stageⅢ-Ⅳ than FIGO stageⅠ-Ⅱ(χ2=8.286,4.322,P<0.05). Nanog and PLK4 protein positive ex-pression rate of high pathological grade was higher than that of low pathological grade(χ2=4.268,4.268,P<0.05),and pos-itive expression rate of Nanog and PLK4 protein in pathological tissue with lymph node metastasis than without lymph node me-tastasis(χ2=10.667,6.000,P<0.05). Conclusion Nanog and PLK4 protein high expression correlated with the pathologi-cal stage, lymph node metastasis and FIGO staging. Protein may play an important role in the malignant transformation of ovari-an tissue and cell differentiation.
