Research on the association of gene polymorphism of MyD88 with tuberculosis susceptibility

Abstract：Objective Explore the relationship of MyD88-938C/A and 1944C/G gene polymorphisms with susceptibility to tuberculosis.Methods sputum smear positive of 102 initial treatment pulmonary tuberculosis patients were analyzed (case group) in chest hospital of Hebei province from October 2016 to March 2017.MyD88-938C/A and 1944C/G of 102 TB patients and 115 healthy controls were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCRRFLP).Analysis the correlation between gene polymorphism of them and susceptibility to tuberculosis by x2 test.Results The genotype analysis of MyD88-938C/A and 1944C/G in the tuberculosis group and the control group accord with the law of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.The difference of CC,CA and AA genotype frequency of MyD88-938C/A were statistically significant between the case group and the control group by x2test and the difference of C,A allele frequency distribution in two groups were statistically significant (x2 =13.24,11.64,P ＜ 0.01).The difference of CC,CG and GG genotype frequency of MyD88 1944C/G were not statistically significant between the case group and the control group by x2test;while the difference of C,G allele frequency distribution in two groups were not statistically significant (x2 =1.28,1.11,P ＞ O.05).Conclusion MyD88-938C/A may be the susceptibility gene of tuberculosis and MyD88 1944C/G may not be related to the susceptibility of tuberculosis infection.
