Effects of probucol combined with rosuvastatin on blood lipids, PCT and hs-CRP in elderly patients with cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effects of probucol combined with rosuvastatin on blood lipids,PCT and hsCRP in elderly patients with cerebral infarction.Methods Ninety-six cases of patients with cerebral infarction were selected,which were treated in hospital from April-2016 to April-2017,and they were divided into the observation group (48 cases) and control group (48 cases).The patients of two groups were all treated with routine treatment and control underlying diseases.The patients of control group were treated with rosuvastatin calcium tablets (10 mg / time,1 time/d).Based on control group,the patients of observation group were treated with probucol tablets (250 mg/time,2 times/d).The patients of 2 groups were all treated for 6 months in a row.Compare the adverse reactions and changes of TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,hsCRP,TNF-α,IL-6,PCT,MMP-9 levels,neurological function scores,carotid intima media thickness of the two groups.Results After the appropriate treatment,the TC,TG,LDL-C,hs-CRP,TNF-c,IL-6,PCT,MMP-9 in the observation group were significantly improved than those in the control group,and the HDL-C in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (t =5.439,t =5.311,t =3.718,t =9.248,t =11.940,t =2.374,t =9.094,t =7.340,t =3.696;all P =0.000);The NIHSS,carotid intima media thickness in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (t =11.227,t =1.985;P =0.000,P =0.049);There were nausea/vomiting,diarrhea,bloating and other adverse reactions occurred in both two groups,but the difference between groups was not statistically significant (x2 =0.443,x2 =0.723,x2 =1.435;P =0.506,P =0.395,P =0.231).Conclusion Probucol combined with rosuvastatin in the treatment of elderly patients with cerebral infarction can get exact effect,reduce blood lipid and inflammation,improve neurological function,safe and effective,which makes it worthy of clinical application.
