Abstract:Objective To analyze the correlation between platelet parameters and serum interleukin 6 levels in patients with coronary heart disease and evaluate the severity of coronary heart disease. Methods From December 2015 to April 2017,368 patients from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University,Department of Cardiology who were underwent coronary angiography, selected 286 patients who were diagnosed with CHD as CHD group, according to the diagnostic criteria of coronary heart disease, they were divided into ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) subgroup of 29 patients, non ST elevation acute coronary artery syndrome (NSTE-ACS) subgroup 82 cases, stable angina pectoris (SAP)group 175 cases;according to the Gensini standard for evaluation, patients were divided into score < 20 group of 153 cases, score 20-40 group of 76 cases, score > 40 group of 57 cases, choose normal coronary angiography results of 82 cases as healthy control group. The changes of mean platelet volume (MPV),platelet count (PLC),platelet distribution width (PDW),platelet volume (PCT) and serum interleukin 6 (IL-6) level in different coronary heart disease patients were compared.Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the correlation between platelet indices and IL-6.Results Compared with the control group, the levels of MPV,PDW and IL-6 in the patients with coronary heart disease were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant(t =-2.940,t =7.150,t =8.670,t =10.000,P =0.003,P =0.000,P =0.000,P =0.000),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(t =-0.942,P =0.347).The levels of MPV and IL-6 in NSTE ACS subgroup and STEMI subgroup were higher than those in SAP subgroup, and PLT was lower than that in control group and SAP subgroup (F =5.130,F =8.210,F =19.540,F =11.230,P < 0.01).The PDW of STEMI subgroup was higher than that of SAP subgroup(P < 0.01).MPV,PDW and IL-6 levels with Gensini score increased(F =62.010,F =46.54,F =102.2140,P =0.000,P =0.000,P =0.000),the level of PLT with the Gensini score decreased(F =45.630,P =0.000),while the three group PCT comparison showed no significant difference (F =1.440,P =0.239).Spearman correlation analysis showed that serum IL-6 and PDW (r =0.367,P =0.000),MPV(r =0.431,P =0.000)was negtively correlated with PLT(r =-0.433,P <0.01),no significant correlation with PCT (r =0.036,P =0.539).Conclusions The combined detection of platelet parameters and IL-6 can evaluate the severity of coronary heart disease, and has certain clinical value in guiding the clinical treatment and improving the prognosis of coronary heart disease.
