Abstract:Objective To estimate the early diagnosis value of serum mannose binding lectin (MBL) to diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods Fifty DKD patients, fifty diabetes mellitus (DM) patients and fifty non DM patients were enrolled in this study, they were divided into DKD group (n=50),DM group (n=50) and non DM group (n=50),respectively.The difference of serum MBL and sICAM-1 were compared among these three groups. Results The levels of MBL (F=5.418,P=0.002),sICAM-1 (F=4.242,P=0.007) and hs-CRP (F=3.049,P=0.031) in DKD group were higher than those in DM group and control group.ROC analysis showed that the AUC of MBL for DKD was 0.819,which cut-off value was 3 271.5 μg/L with 85.0% of specificity and 82.0% of sensitivity.Correlation analysis showed that MBL was positively related with DKD and HbA1c.Logistic regression suggested that sICAM-1 and MBL were independent risk factor for DKD.Conclusion It demonstrated that the serum levels of MBL was elevated in DKD patients, suggested it was potential risk factors.
