Abstract:Objective To compare the effects of two different interventional strategies in the treatment of coronary artery true bifurcation lesions. Methods Seventy patients with coronary artery true bifurcation lesions treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in department of cardiology,Changzhou Wujin People's Hospital of Jiangsu province from January 2010 to December 2015 were selected. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to the stent implantation, the single stent group with 37 cases and the double stents group with 33 cases. The baseline condition, coronary bifurcation lesions,SYNTAX score, operation condition, and the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) were compared between the two groups. Results The baseline data between the two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05).Compared with the double stents group, the operation time was shorter[(92.43±39.26) min vs.(117.34±39.14) min,t=2.632,P=0.011] and the dose of contrast agent was less [(197.33±33.00)ml vs.(264.38±75.09)ml,t=4.599,P<0.01] in the single stent group.Outpatient were followed up for 6-12 months after operation, there was no significant difference in the incidence of MACE (10.8% vs.9.1%,χ2=0.000,P=1.000).Conclusion Both the single stent strategy and double stents in the treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions are safe and effective. The single stent technology method is simple and the effect is not inferior to the double stents.
