Relevant research about the level of serum Vaspin and ischemic stroke

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relationship between serum Vaspin levels and ischemic stroke .Methods Sixty patients who suffered from ischemic stroke diagnosed in the hospital from September 1st, 2015 to January 31st, 2016 were selected as experimental group , while 60 people who had physical examination in our hospital in the same period were se-lected as control group.The serum Vaspin level of all objects on the 1st, 7th, 14th days and the mRS scores after 3 months were measured.Besides, according to the mRS scores after 3 months, the patients with ischemic stroke were divided into disa-bled group (mRS scores <2) and nondisabled group (mRS socres >2).Furthermore, the differences of serum Vaspin level between two groups were compared .All dates above were for the analysis on the relationship between serum Vaspin levels and ischemic stroke.Results The serum Vaspin levels of the experimental group on 1st, 7th, 14th days were (0.21 ±0.05) ng/ml,(0.14 ±0.04)ng/ml,(0.22 ±0.04)ng/ml respectively,which were less than that of the control group of (0.25 ±0.06) ng/ml,(0.24 ±0.08)ng/ml and (0.25 ±0.07)ng/ml ( t =-3.967, t =-53.709, t =-1.922, P <0.05).The serum Vaspin level of nondisabled group was (0.25 ±0.03) ng/ml, which was significantly higher than the level of the disabled group's (0.18 ±0.04) ng/ml.The serum Vaspin levels both in disabled and nondisabled group were increased firstly and then decreased, with the lowest value appeared on the 7th days.NHISS scores were increased firstly and the decreased , with the peak value appeared on the 7th days.There was negative correlation between the serum Vaspin level and the neurologic deficits ( r =-0.764, P <0.01), while negative correlation between the serum Vaspin level and mRS scores ( r =-0.712, r =-0 .678, P <0.01).Conclusion The serum level of Vaspin was lower in ischemic stroke patients than that of healthy people, the serum Vaspin level have significant correlation with cerebral ischemic stroke , the lower the level of serum Vaspin in patients with ischemic stroke , the poorer of overall prognosis .
