Cognitive function and influencing factors of the elderly in Beijing

Abstract：Objective To understand the cognitive status and its influencing factors of the elderly in Beijing.Methods A sample survey of 2017 elderly people aged 60 years and over in Beijing was performed.MMSE MC was used to evaluate the mental status.Results (1) Cognitive dysfunction rate was 13.6％,which was higher in women than in men,the rural higher than in urban,elevated with increasing age (x2 =9.697,97.951,105.924,P ＜ 0.05).(2) The cognitive status of the elderly under the influence of gender,age,residence,education level,marital status,occupation,sleep and activity exercise time,the impact of various factors such as income levels,social communication and life activities.Conclusion Cognitive function is an important aspect of health of the elderly,attention should be paid to health education,enhance social support.
