Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of sorafenib combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization ( TACE) treatment in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and changes of tumor markers and liver function .Methods Six-ty-eight cases of patients with middle and late hepatic carcinoma were selected , which were treated in hospital from February 2013 to October 2015, and they were divided into the observation group (34 cases) and control group (34 cases). The pa-tients of control group were treated with percutaneous transcatheter arterial chemoembolization ( TACE) .On the basis of con-trol group, the patients of observation group were treated with sorafenib .Observe and compare the clinic results , adverse reac-tions and changes of the levels of tumor markers and liver function of the two groups .Results After the appropriate treatment , the patients of the observation group got objective response rate and clinical benefit rate of 50.0% and 79.4%, which were significantly better than the 26.5%and 55.9%of the control group (χ2 =3.985,χ2 =4.300, P =0.046, P =0.038);In the terms of AFP, CEA, CA125 and CA19-9, the patients of two groups were all significantly decreased than before ( t =54 .277 , t =12 .578 , t =27 .704 , t =26 .410;t =45 .362 , t =7 .662 , t =17 .131 , t =19 .450 , P =0 .000 , P =0 .000 , P =0.000, P =0.000;P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000), and the patients of the observation group got more significant decline ( t =35.546, t =3.499, t =11.780, t =5.690, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000); In the terms of ALT, TBil, the patients of two groups were all significantly improved than before ( t =11.071, t =6.114;t =0.730, t =4.293, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000), but in the terms of ALB, There was no significant changes occurred of two groups ( t =1.612;t =0.932, P >0.05);The adverse reactions of observation group were less than the control group, but there was no statistically significant between the two groups (χ2 =0.534,χ2 =0.236,χ2 =0.060,χ2 =0 o.657,χ2 =1.643,χ2 =0.063, P =0.465, P =0.627, P =0.806, P =0.417, P =0.200, P =0.801).Conclusion Sorafenib combined with TACE in the treatment of patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma can achieve good thera -peutic effect and improve the liver function , which has positive clinical significance .
