Effect of mycophenolate mofetil combined hormone therapy on patients with IgA nephropathy and the influence of 24h on urinary protein and serum creatinine

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of mycophenolate mofetil combined with prednisone in the treatment of vasculitis in patients with IgA nephropathy to observe the effect of mycophenolate mofetil and its influence of 24 h urine pro-tein, serum creatinine.Methods Ninety-six cases of patients with vascular inflammatory IgA nephropathy were selected, which were treated in hospital from January 2011 to January 2016, and they were divided into the observation group (48 ca-ses) and control group (48 cases).The patients of control group were treated with cyclophosphamide and prednisone, while the patients of observation group were treated with mycophenolate mofetil and prednisone.Observe and compare the clinic re-sults, adverse reactions and changes of biochemical indicators of two groups.Results After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was 89.6%, significantly higher than the control group 66.7% (χ2 =7.375, P =0.007); the amount of urine, 2 groups of patients with total protein, serum albumin and other indicators significantly improved in the observation group, (observation group: t =15.261, t =23.057, t =32.201, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000;control group: t =5.595, t =13.080, t =10.344, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000), and the observation group increased more significantly than in the control group ( t =7.254, t =8.020, t =16.286, P =0.000, P =0.000, P =0.000); the 2 groups of patients with 24h urinary protein, serum creatinine and other indicators were lower than that before treatment, the observation group (observation group: t =37.890, t =32.343, P =0.000, P =0.000;control group: t =11.901, t =12.396, P =0.000, P =0.000), and patients in the observation group decreased more significantly than the control group ( t =25.138, t =42.765, P =0.000, P =0.000); the 2 group had mild adverse reactions, but no significant difference between the 2 groups were found (10.4% vs.18.8%,χ2 =1.338, P =0.247).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of mycophenolate mofetil combined with prednisone in vasculitis of IgA nephropathy is well, with the 24h urinary protein, serum creatinine level are significantly reduced.
