Abstract:Object ive To investigate prevention effect of folic acid and vitamin B12 timely supplement on cerebral in-farction.Metho ds From July 2013 to July 2015, selected 168 patients with cerebral infarction in department of Neurology of Jingshan people Hospital of Hubei Province, the patients were divided into observation group ( n =84) and control group (n =84), the control group were given routine treatment, the observation group were given folic acid and vitamin B12 oral therapy based on the treatment in control group, The plasma homocysteine (Hcy), nitric oxide (NO), endothelin (ET), Chinese stroke clinical neurological impairment rating scale(CSS) and cerebral infarction recurrence rate of two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the plasma Hcy and ET were (12.02 ±3.82) mmol/L and (53.22 ±12.40) ng/L, lower than that of the control group (19.81 ±5.12) mmol/L and (81.04 ±13.36) ng/L ( t =-11.177, t =-13.998, P <0.05), the observation group's NO (64.59 ±11.27) mmol/L higher than that of the control group (56.29 ±11.32) mmol /L ( t =4.762, P =0.000); after treatment, the observation group /control group CSS score (12.16 ±1.46 /17.30 ± 2.20) were lower than those before treatment (21.17 ±3.48 /20.43 ±3.10) decreased ( t =28.694, 9.432, P <0.05), and the observation group than the control group ( t =17.842, P =0.000); the observation group treatment of cerebral in-farction recurrence rate as of 14.29%, which were lower than the control group's 28.00% (χ2 =4.299, P =0.038).Con-clusion It demonstrated that the folic acid and vitamin B12 could effectively improve the vascular endothelial function and neurological deficits in patients with cerebral infarction, and reduce the recurrence after healing.
